What the Verified Badge Means

Two states a listing can be in

• Listed. Built from public business data for Butler County. Nobody has confirmed it with us. Most listings are here, and the page says where the business is and how to reach it.
• Verified. The owner has confirmed the listing is theirs and verified control of it, through an emailed link or an approved claim. Only these carry the badge, and the page shows the date it was verified.

How a listing gets verified

• The owner claims the listing and confirms it through a link sent to their email.
• That proves the person who runs the business stands behind the details on the page.
• From then on the owner keeps the hours, description, and contact details current.
• The business still meets our locally owned standard.

What the badge does not mean

It is not a recommendation, a rating, or a guarantee of the work. It means the owner has confirmed the listing is theirs and stands behind its details. We do not inspect premises, confirm licences or insurance, vet qualifications, or take a view on quality. A verified date is a snapshot, and businesses change, so treat an older date as older information.
